The facebook nodes project visualizes connections between people who log into the site. The users are repositioned based on node attraction through a spring system within the nodes. The strength of the node attraction is determined by the users’ connections.<\/p>\n

Facebook Nodes:<\/p>\n

The connections visualization takes into account that people related differently to facebook by giving less weight to the connections of people who have more friends. It visualizes the connections between people who have signed into it, so in theory it could be any group of people.<\/p>\n

I made it to experiment with visualizing relationship\/connections matrices, and clustering, and to see if meaningful clusters can be found.<\/p>\n

I would like to apply it to a group of people are not likely to be so interconnected. For example at an event where some people would be connected, but not all to each other.<\/p>\n
